Biography
Richard Claude Haw’s background includes both the sciences and Christian Science. Because of this, he could see how the sciences are gradually developing rudimentary ideas found in Christian Science. He lived in Natal, South Africa. He was educated at the University of Natal, and through private study with the University of South Africa. He had a varied career as research chemist, topographical surveyor, farmer, conservation and agricultural officer, teacher, headmaster, and public relations and media executive. He was a deeply dedicated Christian Scientist. “Mr. Haw’s background and interest in the natural sciences, coupled with his consecrated study of Christian Science, enabled him to foresee how this Science would eventually be recognized as a scientific discovery, accurately defining the realm of Mind that underlies all things. . . .” (p. v)
