Personality is a belief that there is a material person whom sometimes one dislikes, sometimes one likes in a wrong way. Personality is always a difficulty, not only with artists, but with everyone ; we are so affected by what people say, do and think. When you know that there are no people there at all, but at the utmost they are simply a series of cinema pictures, flashing by, half your trouble has gone. At the same time, if you suffer from it at all, you should always treat against it by realising, for instance, that there is no personality, the only person is God, no material person can have any effect upon man, for all men are spiritual. Man never harms his fellow man, he is always helping him and benefiting him. Man cannot think or say anything except to help his fellow man. Sometimes it is necessary as well to work against nerves.
