The best way to heal in CS is to enter an alternative state of consciousness where you see ( see isn't the right  word, I don't' know how to express it) the spiritual dimension. 

Usually this does not last, but when you come out of it you never forget it and it makes everything you learn later make sense. 
I had this several times as a child probably due to my dad's prayers for me - this is why I know it can be induced in children.
