Old theology would interpret Mrs. Eddy’s attitude in this letter to be Christian. Old theology would be correct, were It not for the fact that It does not know what Christian really means, since It sets forth a Christian life as something that primarily relates to man’s outward acts, whereas everything In Christian Science has for Its ultimate purpose the bringing of one’s thinking under scientific control.
