This is a term used for the condition in which the bowel is constricted by tight tissues surrounding and pinching it; if unrelieved, it results in mortification of the bowel. It may occur either internally or in a rupture.
There is no strangulation of the bowels, the bowels are the knowledge of God as Soul, giving man all wisdom and knowledge. There is no mortification of the bowel, all is Life eternal, nothing ever dies, for all ideas are spiritual, and live and move and have their being in God.
