It allows the U.S. President to deploy federal military forces domestically to suppress insurrections, rebellions, or domestic violence and enforce federal law when state authorities are unable or unwilling to do so. Here are its main points, condensed: 1. Presidential Authority: The President can deploy U.S. military troops or federalize state militia to address domestic unrest or lawlessness.
