There is a strange calm that arrives when you finally stop trying to save the circus. The clowns are still screaming, the ringmaster is still preaching about order, the lions are still pacing in their cages, but something in you goes quiet. You realize the tent was never home.

It was only ever the distraction that kept you from remembering who you are when the noise stops. Let it burn. Let the painted faces melt. Let the bright lies collapse into ash.

The world has been juggling illusions for so long that it forgot what stillness feels like. Yet peace is not found in the rebuilding, it is found in the watching. The soft acceptance that chaos does not need your participation to finish its act. You sip your tea as the flames dance. The air smells like endings, which is to say, beginnings in disguise. The trick was never escaping the fire, it was learning not to fear it.
