In
the Textbook of Christian Science, Science and Health with “Key
to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, (p. 114), its author, Mary
Baker Eddy, tells us “Christian Science ... disentangles the
interlaced ambiguities of being and sets free the imprisoned
thought.” Translated into today’s language, we are talking about
the “wiring” of the brain.

The Bible View
The fact that man is
spiritual not material, is taught in the Bible in many places.
St Paul says it most clearly; “If a man thinks himself to be
something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself” (Gal. 7:3).
He also says: “The things which are seen are temporal; but the
things which are not seen are eternal.”(2nd
Cor.4:18). It is a scientific axiom that anything which ceases
to exist is not real now.
